Spring 2023 Service Trips Application
CAMPUS CHURCH & CHRISTIAN OUTREACH AT SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY

Three service trip opportunities are offered for Spring 2023:
1. New City Kids in Jersey City, NJ (March 11-17, 2023)
2. South Padre Island, TX (March 11-17, 2023)
4. Puerto Rico (May 20-26, 2023)

Spring Break Application Deadline is Sunday, January 29 at 11:59pm.
Deadline for May Puerto Rico trip is Friday, March 10 at 11:59pm.

The Process:
*This application does not commit you to the trip or confirm your participation.
**Don't let the costs deter you from applying! For all opportunities, scholarships are available and fundraising training can be provided
After the application deadline, we will contact all applicants via email or text to arrange an informal interview.
Then we will inform you via email if you've been accepted to one of the trips.

Trip 1: Community Outreach Ministry in New York City Area
Join with a local community outreach and youth empowerment non-profit as they help students create a vision for their futures through academics, music and more.

Everyone is welcome to apply.

Spring Break: March 11-17 (application deadline January 29)

Be part of a holistic, revitalizing approach to:
-After school programming in academics and music for children
-High school youth mentoring and tutoring
-Community building projects

Spots Available: 10

Cost: $300-500 ($50 bus fair plus housing which is variable)

Trip 2: Beach Reach in South Padre Island, TX
Spend your Spring Break serving others on the beach. We are partnering with Texas Christian ministries to: provide safe transportation, host free pancakes, clean the beaches, worship God together, and pray.

Everyone is welcome to apply. This trip is best suited for those who follow Jesus and want to tell others about him.

Trip 3: Guaynabo, Puerto Rico
Help rebuild and restore Puerto Rico through both construction and community engagement projects. Work with SEND Relief to learn more about long term disaster relief and sustainable community development.

Summer Break: May 20-26 2023 (application deadline March 10)

SEND Relief established SEND Puerto Rico in 2017 after hurricanes ravaged Puerto Rico. They empower Puerto Ricans to restore and strengthen their neighborhoods. Earthquakes in 2020 and more hurricanes in 2022 have further created structural damage and emotional loss as communities have only just begun to feel safety and normalcy. SEND Relief augments the network and knowledge from local churches to identify and meet needs for anyone facing hardship.
