2025 Executive Board Candidate Application
Thank you for your interest in running for the East Bay Young Democrats' 2026 Executive Board! The board shall be comprised of the officers below, each having one vote at any regularly scheduled board meeting. The board is tasked with carrying out the will of the general membership and promoting the organization pursuant to our bylaws.

Members shall be able to run for any board position after being a dues-paying member for at least 60 days prior to the election and having attended at least two meetings or events within a calendar year. An exception can be made if no members meeting this threshold choose to run for a board position (with majority approval of the existing board). If you are worried about this being an issue, please reach out to president@ebyd.org!

Nominations for each board position will be allowed from the floor of the election meeting. Candidates will be allowed to speak for up to two minutes. Members will be allowed to ask questions at the discretion of the current board. Afterwards, candidates will be allowed up to 90 seconds for closing remarks. Attendance at the election meeting is not required to run for a board position, but highly encouraged. In the event you cannot attend, please feel free to send someone on your behalf or reach out to the current board to see if anyone can do so for you.
