Campaign Against Holding the Gay Games in Hong Kong

We are inviting you to sign the petition below to oppose the Eleventh Gay Games that is poised to be held in Hong Kong between 3-11 November 2023.

1. 背景
同樂運動會起源於1982年，由一班同性戀、雙性戀、跨性別和酷兒組成的性小眾人士(LGBTQ)在美國三藩市舉辦的運動會(簡稱”同運會”)。

同運會每四年舉辦一次，實質是同志運動，原先目的是為這些性小眾爭取社會的認同和包容，其後爭取平等權利，繼而爭取同性婚姻合法化，嚴重地衝撃著社會的傳統價值觀。

1. Background
The Gay Games (the Games) began in 1982 as a sporting event for LGBTQ people in San Francisco, USA.

The Games, which are held every four years, are essentially a gay movement, aimed at gaining social acceptance and tolerance for the legalisation of same-sex marriage.  The legislation of same-sex marriage, however, can severely impact the traditional Chinese values in Hong Kong.

2. 破壞傳統
在上屆香港政府的支持下，搞手成功地爭取到在香港舉辦2022年同運會，其後因疫情原因，押後至2023年11月3日在香港舉行，並於墨西哥同步雙城舉行。

我們認為特區政府是不應該鼓勵和支持同運會，給人解讀為傾向支持同性戀運動，甚至乎同性婚姻合法化。目前此歪風席捲全球，已有卅多個西方國家受到不良意識形態所侵蝕，承認同性婚合法化，做成一系列的倫理和社會問題，顛覆了傳統家庭價值觀。

2. Damaging the tradition
With the support of the previous term of the SAR Government, the Games was proposed to be staged in Hong King in 2022. But due to the epidemic, the Games were then postponed to 3 November 2023 and to be co-hosted by Mexico.

We believe that the last SAR Government had erred in encouraging the Games, and their support was interpreted by many as being in favour of the legislation of gay marriage – which no doubt stands against the Chinese traditions and moral values. 

3. 破壞中華復興
還記得2019所發生的一場黑暴風波，很清晰的看到以美國為首的西方國家，勾結了他們的本地代理，煽動學生參與暴亂，嚴重地破壞了香港的穩定繁榮，直至《港區維護國家安全法》出台後，香港社會才恢復秩序。

我們必須要從國家安全角度著想，更須防範有人藉著同運會再來一次破壞香港，顛覆中國人的傳統道德觀念，防範同運會直接破壞國家朝向中華民族偉大復興的目標。任何活動有可能顛覆國家憲法、基本法和國家安全的，我們必須奮力抗拒！

3. Obstructing the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation
Remembering the Black-Clad Riots happened in 2019, it was already clear that that was a colour-revolution instigated by the agents having strong connection with the west. Innocent students were however misled into the incidents and riots. Hong Kong society was only subsequently resumed back to normal upon the urgent passing of the National Security Law.

We must therefore be vigilant and aware of any activities that may reactivate any threats against the national security. The Games can be a stealth to harbour such perils though. As such, any activities of that kind which run against the Chinese Constitution, Basic Law or the notion of the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation in general should be resisted.
