Many technology issues regarding hardware (computers, phones, wifi, and other devices) can be fixed by following three easy steps:
#1. Shutdown the device by completely powering off the device (this does not mean "hibernating" or "sleeping" the device, nor does this mean simply closing the computer / turning off the monitor).
#2. Unplug the device from all power sources (outlets, batteries, chargers, cords, etc), and wait 15 seconds.
#3. Plug in your device, power it up, and see if you are still having the same issues.
