Bib & Tucker Sew-Op is a 501c3 nonprofit with the mission of cultivating skills for those who sew or want to sew (ages 9-99). We aim to be a hub for sewing activities that promote empowerment, education and economic opportunity. Magic City Seams is a program that primarily addresses the latter. The Sew-Op aims to incubate soft-goods and garment businesses in Birmingham, thereby increasing the opportunities for people to earn an income in small-batch manufacturing. To that end, we offer limited space for rent in our Manufacturing Shop.

As of January, 2019, space is available (parameters will be determined on a case-by-case basis; this may be subject to change depending on demand) for rent at $50/month. The space will be available to the renter during the Sew-Op’s normal business hours. This arrangement will go on for a trial run of 6 months, at which time both the renter and Bib & Tucker Sew-Op will have the chance to reassess. If both parties are in agreement, the renter can continue for another 6-month term at $50/month or can move to a month-to-month term at $75/month or can move to a 6-month term with key access at $100/month.
