2018 MBDH All-Hands Meeting - Student Poster proposal form - Deadline: September 28
The Midwest Big Data Hub is inviting student poster proposal submissions for its All-hands Meeting in Cleveland, Ohio, November 6-7, 2018.

All student participants are invited to submit an abstract for review. The student must be the lead author. A student may be on multiple posters, but may submit only one abstract as a lead author. Posters will present ongoing research on data related issues OR work on production-level data infrastructure, in relation to this year's general event theme: “Data Futures: Advances, Limits, Potentials.”

Abstracts will be reviewed for thematic fit, quality and relevance of the research to current domain problems, or application of infrastructure to supporting data management, access, and/or use. We will accept up to 20 posters.

The submission deadline for poster proposals is September 28. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by October 5.

At least one student author (or co-author) per poster must attend the meeting, and will be expected to present a 1-minute lightning talk, as well present the poster during the evening Networking and Poster session on November 6. Each presenter can only present one poster.

The MBDH will provide travel support for one student presenter per poster (for a total of 20 students) in the form of two nights of lodging (Monday Nov. 5 & Tuesday Nov. 6). Students receiving hotel nights must reside more than 20 miles away from the conference location.
