Teaching Opportunities Abroad

Dear NMSU Faculty Member:

As the result of new and existing partnerships abroad, the Office of International and Border Programs is able to extend a call for faculty interested in international teaching opportunities.

Normally these are summer opportunities that do not interfere with regular teaching loads, and typically travel expenses are paid and an honorarium is provided.

Existing opportunities include summer teaching opportunities with private universities in Bogota, Colombia, and projects with universities and government agencies in Mexico (the states of Querétaro and Chihuahua), as well as other countries around the world.

In addition to the transfer of technical expertise, one of the main reasons behind these opportunities is to begin connecting NMSU faculty with counterparts abroad – connections that will, hopefully, lead to deep, sustained professional relationships. Out of these relationships could spring research projects, faculty led study abroad opportunities, service learning and/or internship opportunities, faculty exchanges, etc.

We are interested in hearing from faculty in all academic areas.

If you are interested, please go to the following pages and provide your basic information. This information will be used to notify you of opportunities.

Thank you in advance.

Associate Provost
