** EXTENDED DEADLINE TO APPLY: 13 August 2022 **
Diversity Arts Australia is offering an 8-module training and capacity-building program to promote greater equity and inclusion for arts and cultural organisations in regional NSW inclusive of Newcastle and Wollongong, and will accept EOIs from Western Sydney.
Following on from the hugely successful pilot Fair Play program in Victoria, the Fair Play Culture Change: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Capacity Building Program is a capacity building program aimed at supporting organisations in their diversity, equity and inclusion objectives. Focused on systemic change in the area of cultural and linguistic diversity, cultural safety and intersectionality, the program will be open to 8 small-to-medium sized organisations based in regional NSW.
This program is not about box ticking, but systemic change within this sector. Arts and cultural organisations in regional NSW will learn how to change their structures and practices to genuinely improve accessibility, respect and inclusion of marginalised communities.
During this 8-week program, participants will undertake both educational and practical workshops and be given the tools to critically assess and dismantle existing barriers to participation in their workplaces. The practical nature of this program means the steps moving forward are clear and achievable. Participants will come away with an Equity Action Plan / Diversity and Inclusion Plan.
This program will be delivered online.
