We are a group of civil rights attorneys, advocates, and legal workers writing to emphasize the duties that Bar licensing entities hold in carrying out fair and equitable character reviews in this current era of anti-Palestinian repression. As Character and Fitness committees review applications for licensure from new cycles of aspiring attorneys, committees must understand applicants’ rights and strive to avoid legal pitfalls within the evaluation process.
