KAMA DC Immigrant Film Festival Open Call
KAMA DC will host an immigrant film festival featuring talented and emerging artists and voices from the immigrant community. KAMA DC aims to highlight the artistic talent of immigrants and to cultivate a culture of understanding between immigrants and the communities they are a part of.

KAMA DC's film festival will take place May 1-31, 2019 in Washington, DC. Programming throughout the 4-week exhibition will encourage discussion on a variety of issues that relate to immigrants’ stories and experience.

ELIGIBILITY
This open call for films is intended for immigrants and refugees or work discussing themes of immigration and culture. Applicants are encouraged to apply regardless of age, background, and career-level.

Applicants are not required to have formal training and films do not need to represent recent work. We encourage anyone with a story to tell to submit their work!

Those selected will be asked to showcase their work and participate in a panel discussion at Suns Cinema or a live radio discussion at The Line Hotel (https://www.thelinehotel.com/full-service-radio/home/).

Examples should be finished and documentation should show work in display-ready form. Any additional requirements for screenings must be clearly stated in this form.

Travel and lodging will be covered on a case-by-case basis.
