1. Acceptance Criteria
Your acceptance to join NASciOly is contingent on accepting the time commitment expectations and the payment of a fee as explained below.  

Rules of Engagement:  
-- Wednesday Google Meet/Schoology Conference after school (TBD) usually 4-4:45pm
--Students are not required to to participate in MY SO SHOWDOWNS
--Students are expected to follow all school rules and maintain good academic standing.
--Appropriate Virtual Meeting Etiquette is expected.
--To gain access to the NA SOS schoology course a commitment to the program and fee payment is required.
--Student participation is expected but not required as this is a skills building year.

5. Code of Conduct
Participation in this academic program is subject to the observance of the New Albany Middle School code of conduct. This includes activities outlined below. Any participant or member who violates the Code of Conduct is subject to discipline, up to and including removal from the program.

Abusive language towards a fellow participant, student, staff member, volunteer, or any other individual or group.
Discourtesy or rudeness to a fellow participant, student, staff member, volunteer, or any other individual or group.
Verbal, physical, or visual harassment of a fellow participant, student, staff member, volunteer, or any other individual or group.
Actual or threatened violence toward a fellow participant, student, staff member, volunteer, or any other individual or group.
Conduct endangering the life, safety, health or well-being of a fellow participant, student, staff member, volunteer, or any other individual or group.
Bullying or taking unfair advantage of a fellow participant, student, staff member, or volunteer, or any other individual or group.
Failure to follow any agency policy or procedure.
Failing to cooperate with an adult supervisor/leader/mentor.
Possession or use of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs on any property where NASciOly is operating as a guest or host or reporting to the program while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Possession of dangerous or unauthorized materials such as explosives, firearms, weapons, chemicals, or other similar items.

6. Liability, Financial, and Photo Release  
At the first practice the Coach will give you a Liability, Financial, and Photo Release form to take home and have signed by a parent. It is the student's responsibility to collect, sign, and return a copy of this form to the Coach. Optionally, you may download the form at any time from the program website and print, sign, and submit. Participation in the program is contingent on the submittal of a signed copy of this form.
7. Payment Instructions (For Parents)
NAPLS Pay to play fee for Science Olympiad is currently set at $125. This fee does not cover the registration of teams with Ohio Science Olympiad, competitions, transportation, or the cost of event supplies and materials. To cover this cost an additional $100 resource fee will be added and will by billed though your PayForIt account at NAPLS.  MORE INFORMATION WITH BE GIVEN OUT WHEN FEES ARE LOADED INTO POWERSCHOOL.
