Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Mustard Seed Generation! Our mission is to spark dialogue around mental health in the Korean American community. Our vision is to bring hope, healing, and reconciliation across the entire Korean American community.

As a volunteer-led organization, we value the passion and insight our volunteers bring to our work. The great thing about working at MSG is that we do our work remotely, holding our meetings using Google Meet and collaborating on Google Docs and Google Sheets. Unless you are volunteering for one of our in-person programs such as a workshop or conference, you can bring your passion to work in the comfort of your home.

We look for volunteers with integrity, responsibility, and a love for learning.
1) Integrity: We embrace honesty, humility, openness, and excellence in every area of our lives.
2) Responsibility: As a startup, we take on challenges as a team and as an individual. We are well aware of the importance of our individual work and how it advances the mission of the organization.
3) Love for learning: Whether it is reading up on mental health, drafting nonprofit bylaws, or increasing social media engagement, we acknowledge our limitations and dive deeper into learning. Because that's who we are. We are learners by heart.

The volunteer application process looks like this: Once you complete the survey, we will review your responses internally to see if you would be a good fit for MSG and if MSG is a good fit for you. We will let you know of our decision via email in two weeks.

안녕하세요! Mustard Seed Generation (MSG)단체 자원봉사에 관심을 주셔서 감사드립니다. 저희 목표는 한국계 미국인 공동체에서 정신건강을 둘러싼 대화를 촉발하는 것입니다. 저희 비젼은 전채 한국계 미국인 공동체에게 희망, 치유 그리고 화해를 가져오는 것입니다.

자원봉사 주도의 단체임으로, 우리는 자원봉사자 분들이 가져오는 열정과 통찰력을 매우 중요시 생각합니다. MSG단체의 장점은 가상으로 일하는 점 입니다. 직접 만나서 하는 워크샵이나 회의를 제외하여 자원 봉사하신다면, 집에서도 열정적이게 팀을 돋보이게 하실 수 있습니다.

저희는 진실성, 책임감 그리고 배움을 사랑하는 자원봉사자 분들을 찾고 있습니다.
1) 진실성: 저희는 솔직함, 겸손함, 열린 마음, 그리고 우리 삶의 모든 면에서 탁월함을 받아들입니다.
2) 책임감: 스타트업 단체이기 때문에, 개인적으로 그리고 공동체로서의 많은 도전이 있습니다. 개인적인 성과(로)도 단체를 전진시키는 것도 중요시 여기고 있습니다.
3) 배움의 대한 사랑: 정신건강에 대해 읽거나, 비영리 조례안을 입안하거나, 소셜 미디어 참여 증가하거나, 저희는 우리의 한계를 인정하고 더 깊이 학습에 몰두하려고 노력합니다. 그것이 저희의 본업이고 마음으로 배워가는 것이 저희의 바른 믿음이기 때문입니다.

자원본사 지원과정은 다음과 같습니다. 이 설문조사를 끝내고, 내부적으로 답변을 확인한 뒤 MSG와 잘 맞으시는지 의논해 볼 것입니다. 그리고 또 어떤 면에서 저희 단체를 이끌 수 있는지도 볼것입니다 . 이 과정이 2주 정도 걸립니다. 이메일로 추후 연락을 드릴 예정입니다.
