Alphabet X's TensorNetwork Intro & Developer Sprint (Wednesday 11/6/19 & Thursday 11/7/19 from 5:45pm - 7:45pm in San Mateo)
X, The Moonshot Factory (formerly Google X) will be hosting a session for 100+ developers, students, professionals and academics looking to get up to speed with tensor networks, a powerful data structure for dealing with quantum systems and applications in machine learning.

This will take place during the Rebooting Computing conference in San Mateo. Delicious (complementary) dinner will be served, along with some cool SWAG :). More details upon RSVP.

In these sessions, we will introduce tensor networks and TensorNetwork --- an open-source library developed by X & Perimeter Institute to improve the efficiency of tensor calculations --- complete a few exercises and look at potential use cases. If you've attended previous sessions or are caught up, great! We will also have groups focused on building new use cases and features.

Please indicate if you're available on one or both evenings. On day one (Wed 11/6), we will introduce TensorNetwork with some coding examples. On Thurs (11/7), following a succinct introduction for newcomers in the audience, we will mainly focus on coding and building new use cases and features with the library.

---

1. Prior Python, tensor network and/or machine learning experience is helpful.

2. Attendees will need to bring a laptop (nothing to install in advance)

3. These two sessions will cover TensorNetwork (NOT TensorFlow). Our goal is to help you get started on TensorNetwork effectively, so you can continue learning and contributing on your own.
