Week: June 18 - 23 (2nd – 4th grade) and/or June 25 - June 30 (5th and 6th grade)This is a volunteer position to build experience, leadership, and character and to encourage faith development.Meals, lodging and staff shirts will be provided.
Purpose: To assist camp staff in providing a safe, encouraging, fun and Christ-centered experience for campers throughcaring for, playing with, and serving alongside a counselor with their cabin of campers for a week. This will buildexperience and leadership in the CIT.

Roles & Responsibilities1. Assists one counselor in their cabin to help guide and lead young campers.2. Provides leadership and is responsible for maintaining order in a cabin especially during times (rest hour and staffmeetings) the counselor must be out of the cabin.3. Provides care, FUN, support, encouragement, FUN, direction and love to campers in their direct supervision (cabin)to provide for a Christ-centered, faith-filled week at camp.4. Enjoys participating in camper activities and is an energetic and fun presence.5. Follows closely the printed weekly schedule with attention to times of activities.6. Encourages campers spiritually by praying for them and sharing with them.7. Participates in morning and evening worship and class time by setting an example in behavior.8. Attends morning prayer meetings, and afternoon staff meetings specifically planned for CIT.9. Assists with other tasks as assigned.
Relationships: This position reports to the Camp Director as well as takes direction from the Camp Program Assistant(s)and is overseen by the counselor in their particular cabin.
Education: Must have completed one year of High School (9-12 grade)
Requirements for application and acceptance:1. Must complete application.2. Must attend group interview on Wed, May 10, 5:00 p.m. or Sun, May 14, 5:00 p.m. (choose one)3. Must attend required CIT training at Hope Shores on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.4. Must cooperate with staff leaders and directors and follow established behavior guidelines.5. Must ride the Hope Shores bus to and from Hope Shores with the campers.
