A Survey of DV Agencies Serving the South Asian Community
The “Desi Dost Project” is a culturally sensitive report on how domestic violence affects our community. Our aim is to create awareness, give survivors hope, and offer safety net resources. This project is supported by USC Center for Health Journalism’s Domestic Violence Impact Reporting Fund, in partnership with the “Desi Dost Project” by India Currents and Narika. The survey is designed to obtain baseline data on DV in the South Asian community with a focus on the issue of transnational abandonment. It will provide background data for reporting projects in USC and India Currents.

Getting segmented data on DV for South Asians is difficult as you know.   We are hoping to get a sense of the scale of the issue from the data you have gathered over the years from your clients, so thank you for your input.
