Voice Activation

  • Push-to-Talk (PTT) Requirement: If you cannot properly control your voice activation, you will need to switch to a PTT setup.
  • Common Issues That Will Require PTT:
    • Loud background noise (TV, music, people, children, etc.).
    • Eating or drinking while on voice activation.
    • Use of speakers that cause microphone feedback.
    • Any other recurring noise issues.

Service Name

  • When joining the 3rd Ranger Battalion, you’ll choose a first and last name for your character.
  • This doesn’t have to be your real name—we encourage the use of fake names.
  • Naming Rules:
    • No celebrity or silly names.
    • Must be a realistic and appropriate name.

Military Simulation in 3rdRB | ArmA3 Milsim

  • Role-Playing: At its core, the unit is about military simulation. We aim to provide a structured and immersive military experience. 
  • In-Game Conduct:
    • Whether you're a Rifleman, Squad Leader, Platoon Leader, Medic, or any other role, you are expected to perform professionally.
    • From the start to the end of the mission, behave as if you're in a combat environment.
    • Avoid non-immersive conversations, such as talking about your personal life, what you’re watching on TV, or other distractions.

Immersion & Realism

  • The goal is to create a realistic and immersive environment, with a target of 7 out of 10 for realism.
    • A 10 represents hardcore role-playing, while a 1 represents a casual public ArmA III server.
