The Eric Gregory Awards 2018
Founded in 1960 by Dr Eric Gregory for the encouragement of young poets, these annual awards are given for a collection by poets under the age of 30. Total prize money £20,000.

DEADLINE: 31 OCTOBER 2017

CRITERIA FOR ENTRY
1. The author must be under the age of 30 at 31 March 2018.
2. The author must either be a British national or be resident in Great Britain and Northern
Ireland for three years prior to the date of submission for the award, and writing in English
3. The work submitted may be a published or unpublished volume of poetry, drama-poems or belles-lettres.
4. No more than 30 poems should be submitted.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
The judges' decisions (both as to eligibility and the winning entries) shall be final. The judges reserve the right not to make any Eric Gregory Awards if, in their opinion, no works entered reach a sufficiently high standard.

• Poems (published or unpublished) should be typed and submitted on loose numbered sheets of A4 paper with the author’s name stated on the contents page only.
• Submissions should not be stapled or bound together.

Please note: Winners of the Eric Gregory Awards may be invited to give readings at the Ledbury Poetry Festival and also at a poetry reading evening in London.
