To all landowners subject to Exhibit H (request for eminent domain) along a hazardous liquid pipeline route proposed by Summit Carbon Solutions, LLC, the Iowa Utilities Board is offering optional participation in mediation and options for participation at hearing.

The four options are described below:

MEDIATION
Free, voluntary mediation is being offered to you, as a landowner, if you wish to use the service to negotiate a voluntary easement for Summit Carbon to access your land. Mediation is a process where the parties meet with an impartial and neutral person who assists them in the negotiation of their differences.
IN-PERSON HEARING
You may present information about your property at an in-person hearing in Ft. Dodge before the IUB.
VIDEO TESTIMONY
If you cannot appear in person, you are invited to participate through a video conferencing connection. You will need reliable internet access to provide testimony.
WRITTEN COMMENTS
You can provide a written response to the Board’s questions about your property instead of appearing during the hearing in person. A list of questions will be emailed or mailed to you (depending on your preference for communication) prior to August 1, 2023, if you respond to this survey by July 26.
