Journey in Faith ... In Your Opinion 
Save Our Churches, Save Our Communities is a volunteer group that opposes large-scale parish mergers—particularly the Journey in Faith plan proposed within the Archdiocese of Dubuque under the consultation of the Catholic Leadership Institute.  

We are not experts, we are not attorneys. We are simply trying to help save our parishes and their church homes,  prevent the shrinking of the footprint of the Catholic Church and the loss of souls in northeast Iowa and help others where similar plans are being implemented across the United States. 

We rely solely upon the true teaching & magisterium of the Holy Mother Church and seek only to follow her authority. 

We are not against the church. We are not against Archbishop Zinkula. We are not against our priests. 

In favor or opposed we ask that together we: Pray for our parishes and their church homes. Pray for priests, our shepherds. Pray for our Bishops, shepherds of our priests.

17.) Every parish in the Archdiocese of Dubuque will receive a decree of extinctive merger ending each current parishes legal entity and creating a new one.
