NOTE 1 - PERSONAL DATA PRIVACY
Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance: All information provided in this form will be used by the Hong Kong Data Science Society (HKDSS) for the purpose of carrying out activities relating to the application for affiliated membership of the HKDSS, communication between the applicant and HKDSS and for HKDSS activities. Applicants' personal data will be kept confidential.
The provision of personal data by means of this form is voluntary. However, insufficient information may result in rejection of an application. Data collected may be accessible by the HKDSS staff processing registration and related matters. Unless otherwise agreed, hard copies of any documents containing your personal data that you provide to the Institute will become the property of HKDSS and will not be returned to you. HKDSS will destroy any documents it holds in accordance with its internal policy and applicable laws. Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, applicants have a right to request access to and correction of their personal data kept by the organization. NOTE 2 – PROCESSING OF APPLICATION
It should be noted that affiliated membership is not automatically conferred, but instead, your application (together with supporting paperwork) will be considered by the Hong Kong Data Science Society. You will be notified by HKDSS Committee if your application has been accepted. Failure to provide full information and evidence may cause delay in the processing of an application. Please ensure all questions are answered fully. Please also remember to notify HKDSS of any changes to your organization, or to the contact details, so that our records will be accurate.
