Thank you for inquiring about financial assistance for membership registration. Every Scout should have the opportunity to benefit from Scouting programs.
The Registration Financial Assistance Form is intended to request financial support to offset registration costs for Scouts. Please complete each section. Montana Council typically does not cover full membership fees and believes families should have a vested interest in the program. This form is to be used with just one unit per application. A family will need to complete two request forms for youth joining two different units.
The Process
When someone acknowledges the need for help, they can visit this page and submit the names of the individuals who require assistance along with the name of one of the leaders from the Unit Key 3. Once the contact information is submitted, a digital form will be sent to those who require assistance. The recipient must complete all sections of the form and submit it digitally. The form will then be emailed to the identified Unit Key 3 member to complete their sections. After both parties have submitted their respective sections, the form will be reviewed and approved by the District/Council leaders. Both parties will be notified of the approval status and the amount of assistance awarded. The assistance will either be provided through a new application or as a reimbursement to the unit's account at the Scout Office.
Unit Key 3
The Unit Key 3 consists of the Charter Organization Representative, the Committee Chair, and the Unit Leader (Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, or Advisor).
