What's the purpose of the group?

The Morrigan Practice Group is a free, quarterly virtual opportunity for pagans and polytheists to discuss religious practices centered around the Morrigan. The goals of this group are to:

  • Provide newer practitioners with an opportunity to get both general and personal questions answered;

  • Crowdsource ideas and creativity for developing, refining, and maintaining our personal religious practices with the Morrigan;

  • Build connections between practitioners with shared interests and beliefs

Who is this group for?
This group is geared towards newer practitioners, but anyone of any level of experience is invited to participate and contribute their own experiences, reflections, and resources.

Who's facilitating?
At least 1-2 Coru members will facilitate the group discussion and moderate the chat.

What's the meeting format like?
The meeting will involve:
  1. Short opening prayer to the Morrigan
  2. A brief round of introductions with preferred/community names and pronouns (optional participation)
  3. Either a summary of the feedback survey responses (available here) or, if no survey responses were submitted, a round of responses to the question, "What are you hoping to get out of the group tonight?"
  4. Group discussion pertaining to what the survey and/or responses asked for
  5. Closing prayers
Group Agreements
I understand that this group is intended for the development and refinement of religious practices involving the Morrigan, including the other goddesses that are often labeled as na Morrigna. *
I understand that this group is not a support group. I know that if I'm looking for more personal or emotional support, rather than practical strategies regarding my personal practice or academic information about the Morrigan, I should seek out other options instead. *
I understand that people of all experience levels are invited to participate. I understand that if I'm a more experienced practitioner or someone with more formal education, my perspective is valuable and also that I am expected to treat newer practitioners with respect and dignity.
Clear selection
I understand that I am expected to abide by the Coru's Hospitality & Safety Policy. This includes (but is not limited to) the prohibition against any rhetoric that claims having Irish blood ancestry or being white is a prerequisite for having a devotional relationship with the Morrigan.

In the meantime, if you haven't already done so, please make sure to fill out this survey before the next meeting so we know what you're hoping to get out of this group!
