The Project Invent Fellowship is a 1-year design thinking and making fellowship for disruptive educators. As a fellow, you will lead your students to invent a solution to a real problem in the community. We train and support fellows to run invention teams and inspire a nationwide young changemaker movement.
Apply to become a fellow in 2021-2022! You get:
1) one-on-one and small cohort support throughout the year by experts from Stanford d.school, MIT, and more.
2) 4 days of intensive design thinking, making, and entrepreneurship training.
3) 4 professional development workshops in best practices for leading project-based learning over the year.
4) a chance for your students to present to top Silicon Valley investors and tech leaders for funding.
5) membership in our national community of educators.
6) support with securing a community partner for real-world problem solving.
Before applying, make sure you can commit to the following:
1) you can attend our virtual Summer Institute on July 26-29, 2021
2) you can attend four 2-hour professional development workshops during the year
2) you can dedicate 2-3 hours/week to lead your team from October 2021 to May 2022
3) you are excited by design thinking and student-centered, project-based learning models.
4) you can recruit 5-8 high school students to form a team.
