안녕하세요, 뉴욕 한인 장애 가족 지원 센터 CIDA (Community Inclusion & Development Alliance)가 뉴욕시 교육청 언어 지원실(Office of Language Access, OLA)과 함께 한인 학부모 대상 리더십 아카데미를 준비했습니다. 아카데미를 통해 뉴욕시 교육청에서 제공하고 있는 언어 관련 서비스, 뉴욕시 특수교육, 개별화 교육 프로그램(Individualized Education Program, IEP), 전환기(Transition) 그리고 어떻게 학교와 함께 일하고 효과적으로 아이를 대변할 수 있을지에 대해 다룰 예정입니다. 모든 트레이닝은 한국어로 진행됩니다.
•모집 대상: 뉴욕시 공립학교에서 특수교육을 받고 있는 자녀를 두신 부모님
•교육 기간: 4월 30일 수요일 - 5월 28일 수요일 (매주 수요일, 총 5회)
•시간: 오전 10시부터 오전 11시 30분까지 (1시간 30분)
•장소: 온라인 (줌 링크를 통해 접속)
•혜택: 교육 참가비 $150*, CIDA 학부모 지원 센터 취업 기회 등 제공
•참가 신청 기간: 3월 24일 월요일 - 4월 20일 일요일 ( 선정되신 분들에게는 4월 21일에 연락을 드릴 예정입니다.)
*5회 세션에 모두 참여하셔야 교육 참가비가 지급됩니다.

Community Inclusion & Development Alliance(CIDA) is excited to partner with the NYC Department of Education Office of Language Access to offer a Leadership Academy for Korean-speaking parents. This academy will provide essential information on: Language Access in NYC Public Schools; Special Education; Individualized Education Program(IEP); Transition Planning; How to collaborate with schools and effectively advocate for your child. All training sessions will be conducted in Korean.
•Who: Parents of students receiving special education services in NYC public schools.
•Dates: April 30 – May 28 (Every Wednesday, 5 sessions in total)
•Time: 10:00am – 11:30am (1.5 hours per session)
•Location: Online (via Zoom)
•Benefits: $150 stipend*, access to all learning materials, potential job opportunities at CIDA
•Application Period: Monday, March 24 - Sunday, April 20 (Participants will be informed of their acceptance on April 21)
*To receive the stipend, participants must attend all five sessions.
