About this event:

Join this interprofessional learning event to engage with a panel of pharmacy and veterinary medicine experts on the topic of compounding. We will explore the intersectionality between pharmacy and veterinary medicine through small group discussions between students from pharmacy and veterinary medicine programs. We will also hear from students engaged with WisCARES about the interprofessional opportunities at this community veterinary clinic.

Learning Objectives:

List two examples of how veterinary medicine and pharmacy are interconnected.
Describe ways in which collaboration between veterinary medicine and pharmacy can improve patient outcomes.
Provide examples of when compounding is appropriate/necessary in veterinary medicine.

Event Details:

Date/ Time: Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm.

- Light meal will be served following this session

Location: School of Veterinary Medicine, Room 2201 (2nd Floor ALC), 2015 Linden Dr Madison, WI

Parking/ Directions: Parking for a fee in Lot 67. Parking in Lot 60 free after 4:30 pm. Multiple Bus stops nearby including Route 80.

PLEASE NOTE: Please note, SPACE IS LIMITED with 50 seats for Veterinary Medicine and 50 seats for Pharmacy participants. A waitlist will start should spaces fill up.
