Project Details
PCRG will continue its study of culturally modified trees (CMTs) in the Colorado high country. This year’s project will investigate multiple CMT groves located northwest of Pagosa Springs. The highest density of CMTs is found in this portion of the state and PCRG’s project will add significantly to the regional database.

A project camp will be set up for all volunteers near a Forest Service guard station. Volunteers are responsible for bringing their own personal camping gear such as a tent, sleeping bag, etc. Project participants must arrive at camp the evening prior their first day of work.

August 24th and August 30th are dedicated travel days for arrival and departure. Field work will be conducted from August 25th to the 29th. We ask that participants plan on working a minimum of three consecutive days however, sign-up for as many days as you can!
