We're excited and grateful that you would like to be a part of our teacher groups for Adler's school engagement. There are two groups available. Please read below for overviews.
Teacher Evaluators (TEG) provide feedback on Adler's School Experience, including on-site field trips, virtual learning experiences, educator resources, and occasional other relevant initiatives such as teen programs and exhibit development. This commitment is for no more than two brief (5–15 min) feedback requests or one moderate (20–30 min) request per month. Feedback will usually be given via surveys.
- All active or retired pre-K–12 teachers or administrators are welcomed.
- Adler will acknowledge active contributors (50% or higher response rate during the year) with a digital certificate of appreciation at the end of the school year and will keep members informed about upcoming events and materials that are relevant to their classrooms.
- The first feedback request will be the week of September 2, 2024 and the last feedback request will be the week of May 19, 2025.
New Teacher Evaluators are welcomed throughout the school year.
(Applications closed) Teacher Advisors (TAG) work more in depth on the School Experience topics mentioned above. The primary focus of the TAG this year is on the development and piloting of two climate change focused programs, one virtual and one onsite at Adler.
- TAG members must be active teachers (pre-k through 12th) who work in the Chicagoland area. This group has one opening for the 24-25 school year and is particularly in need of high school science teachers, especially those who teach space science or climate change related content.
- We ask for a year-long commitment from our Teacher Advisors, 1-2 hours of contributions per month including meetings, and offer a $225 stipend and additional benefits in return.
