The Back-to-School Coffee is held each year on the morning of the first day of school. Volunteers are needed to set up refreshments, man the volunteer tables and greet attendees.

The 5K/10K and Family Fun Run will be celebrating its 39th year in 2018. Last year, more than 200 runners participated in this annual run through the Hillsmere community. Prior to race day, volunteers are needed to secure sponsors. On race day, volunteers register runners, set up signs, give out water, medals and food, and direct runners along the route.

Every fall, each class at Key holds a Parent Potluck; this is an opportunity for the parents of their class to get to know one another and create a sense of community within the grade. A parent is needed from each class to host this event.

The Key community reserves the Naval Academy Ice Rink for this community building event. The community brings canned goods that are donated to The Lighthouse Shelter. Volunteers are needed to be cashiers at the front door.

This annual event, hosted by a Key family, provides an opportunity for members of the Key community to meet distinguished ABF authors. Volunteers are needed to coordinate food and assist with set up.

More than 3,000 people turn out to enjoy this annual, free community event. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up and assist at stations for book sales, merchandise sales, information booth, children's activities, food, and more. Volunteers may choose to sit on the following planning committees or work a “day of” shift.

Volunteers are needed to create a theme and plan all logistics for this end-of-the-year luncheon for all faculty and staff members. Help is needed during the event to cover classrooms, set up and serve the faculty and staff from 11:30-2:30 p.m.

The Activity Building transforms into a museum showcasing students' artwork from throughout the year. Volunteers are needed during the week leading up to the show to mat and label the artwork and on Friday to help set up the show.

Annual Fund volunteers play a vital role in strengthening Key's Program. Gifts to the Annual Fund provide needed support for everyone and everything that makes Key unique – faculty, the academic program, technology, athletics, fine and performing arts, financial aid, outdoor and environmental education, and campus upkeep. Volunteers are needed to serve as ambassadors among their peers. Areas of support may include assisting with appeal letters, contacting potential donors, participating in Phonathons, or helping prepare mailings. Help us build an understanding about the importance of the Annual Fund which benefits every student and teacher.
