Four-Day School Week Community Survey
If the Board of Education were to adopt a four-day (4-day) school week, the most likely day for school to not be in session is Monday. One schedule being considered is that the school day would begin 10 minutes earlier and end 30 minutes later. Students would not attend on Mondays. The school year would start in August and end in May.
The primary goal of changing to a four-day calendar is for recruiting and retaining high quality teachers and staff; and for increasing student and employee attendance.
