The NJCAHT provides two types of speakers:
1) HUMAN TRAFFICKING 101 SPEAKERS
Our trained and knowledgeable volunteers provide an overview of what Human Trafficking is, how it occurs, where it occurs, and what you can do if you encounter it. These speakers are provided at no cost to you, and presentations are tailored to schools, healthcare and other audiences. Our volunteers gladly accept donations to the NJCAHT.
2) SURVIVOR SPEAKERS
Our speakers share their lived experience, providing depth and clarity to the Human Trafficking 101 presentation. This is a very emotionally impactful presentation, and the most effective way of truly communicating about the issues with your audience. If the audience is school aged, the way the information is conveyed is always age appropriate.
Survivor Speakers are always compensated for their presentations per NJCAHT Guiding Principals. If you are requesting a survivor speaker, your organization is responsible for paying the survivor speaking fee/honorarium and travel expenses.
Grants are available to schools to help cover some or all of the costs of the honorarium and travel costs. If you are a school and would like to apply for a grant, please indicate in the form below.
NOTE: In order to have a Survivor Speaker, you must first have a Human Trafficking 101 speaker. This can occur on the same day as the Survivor Speaker, or at an earlier time. Having the Human Trafficking 101 presentation first, allows the audience to have a better understanding of the issues and be able to ask more focused and informed questions.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN BRINGING AWARENESS TO YOUR COMMUNITY
