Young Scientist Research Challenge 
Middle and high school students in Durham, Johnston and Wake counties are invited to participate in the Young Scientist Research Challenge brought to you by the Kenan Fellows Program for Teacher Leadership at NC State University and the Biogen Foundation.   

Join the Challenge
  • Students are challenged to dispel a biotech or medical science misconception through a 2 min video!
  • Student teams will have the option of collaborating with local biotech or medical researchers.
  • Middle and high school teams will compete in their divisions
  • 4 finalists will present their products to industry professionals and educational leaders April 22 2023.
  • Winning teams will receive $2,000 for first place and $1,000 for second

  • The next virtual interest meeting will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 (7:30 pm).  The link will be sent to those that register in this form.
