As a hirer you must:
✓ Ensure that you comply with the conditions of our premises licence, namely
➢ No more than 130 people are allowed at the hall at one time
➢ You must finish functions by 11.45pm (Mon-Sat) or 10pm Sundays
➢ You must not use any candles, naked flames or fireworks inside or outside
➢ Your music must not cause a disturbance to local residents
✓ Take responsibility for the health and safety of all your participants, including
➢ Maintain control of the car park
➢ Ensure appropriate levels of adult supervision as per our Safeguarding Policy
➢ Follow the requirements of the hall’s COVID-19 Risk Assessment (at
busbridgevillagehall.com/How-to-Book/ )
✓ Check if your household insurance policy provides public liability protection for your use of the Hall. If not, it is recommended that you arrange this, to cover your liability for any injury or damage
✓ Pass the relevant documents listed above regarding bouncy castles or the sale of alcohol to the Booking Secretary at least 14 days before hire. If any documents are applicable, but not registered as specified, the booking will be cancelled with immediate effect. The deposit will be returned, but not the booking fee.
✓ Only use sticky tape or string to hang decorations in the Hall, keep all decorations away from heaters and remove them all at the end of your event. Do not use any pins, staples, screws, nails or similar fixings in any part of the Hall, or blue/white tack on any painted walls
✓ Inform guests that stiletto heels are not allowed on the hall floor
✓ Bring cake slice or large knife for cutting birthday cake, tea towels, hand towels, cloths, cleaning detergent, washing up liquid and any other consumables for the kitchen and post-hire cleaning, plus bin liners to take away all rubbish from your event
✓ Leave the Hall in the condition you would wish to find it. See our

✓ Ensure curtains are open, lights are switched off and all windows and doors securely shut or locked when leaving the Hall
✓ Report accidents or problems – including problems with the Hall on arrival, with photos if possible
✓ Pay for any cleaning costs as well as loss or damage caused to the Hall, its contents or external areas as a result of your hire unless resulting solely from negligence on the part of Busbridge Village Hall Management Committee.
