This test is designed to test your intuitive responses to which representation of a quantity is more appealing. You will be presented with a series of questions, each detailing a fictitious measurement system and a particular quantity converted into that system. Your job is to choose the measurement that you would feel most comfortable measuring.

You've been abducted by aliens, they sit you down in a sterile room. Suddenly in front of you are a series of vessels of different sizes, each with a rather extraordinary handle and some bold lettering. To the left is a tub of sweet smelling golden orange liquid to the right is an empty tub.  Hovering in mid-air in front of you a series of options appear... They seem to relate to the number of vessels of a specific type to move from one tub to the other. You wait a while, a small electric shock travels through your feet, then a slightly bigger one. You decide to comply. *
Which vessel would you choose to fill up (potentially multiple times) in order to measure out the quantity as required? The numbers beside the vessels indicate how many vessels full of liquid will be needed to measure out the quantity. Please don't spill anything. We only have so much hypothetical liquid.
Just as you complete the measurement, a small high pitched voice, that seems to hover everywhere congratulates you, or at least it sounds somewhat positive. The orange liquid is replaced by green... *

You are provided with a series of jugs with measurements up the side, again each is labelled with a name in bold, but this time all are exactly the same size. The screen lights up with the appropriate measurement level for each jug. Which do you use to collect the rather alluring pink liquid? *
