The Invitation to Change is a holistic, evidence-based model developed by CMC: Foundation for Change to help families and loved ones affected by substance use. Drawing from Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Training (CRAFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), ITC helps family members and loved ones attending the support groups build communication skills, strengthen relationships, and promote self-care.
Each applicant team must include three individuals, all of whom are required to attend both levels of the ITC training:
- 2 individuals who will co-facilitate the 15-week ITC Family Support Group
