Petition regarding what is political
The sign below stating “black lives matter in Rowayton” was repeatedly vandalized and torn down. In July, six Rowayton families complained that it was “political” and one commissioner, Tammy Langalis, agreed. It remains down today, and all the commissioners are keeping it there. We, the undersigned residents of Rowayton and the Norwalk region, believe that saying “black lives matter” is a statement of fact, no one needs to support a specific agenda in order to say it, and so it does not violate the rule against political signs.

(All information will only be shared directly with the Commission. Please also attend the Commissioner Meeting this Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7pm and tell the commission you do not agree with their decision. The next municipal elections are November 2, 2021)

UPDATE 9/16: very late, sometime between the afternoon 9/15 and the morning 9/16, the Commission updated their webpage with the public link: https://www.r6td.com/
