Faith and Race: Challenging the Culture of Criminalization RSVP
Join us as we examine the systemic culture of criminalization that disproportionately affects our communities of color.

We invite people of faith, educators, formerly incarcerated and detained persons, their families and community members to attend. Expert panels and dynamic breakout sessions will address:

*How the criminalization of people of color, mass incarceration, and immigration detention are the outgrowth of white supremacist ideology and structural racism.
*The experiences of the formerly incarcerated and detained, especially women.
*The inhumanity and lasting impacts of the prison and detention experience on families.
*The powerful ways formerly incarcerated persons have struggled and survived to maintain their dignity throughout a criminalizing experience.
*How faith communities can play a powerful role in breaking down barriers so that returning residents can thrive.

Together we will dismantle the Culture of Criminalization, Restore our Communities and Reclaim our Character.
We hope you will join us.
