This summer, we are running an office in Los Angeles to build support for Environment California's campaign to ban polystyrene, or what most folks call styrofoam.

For decades our society has depended on products that we don't need, and have known that we shouldn't be using - like foam cups and take out containers. These products end up in our rivers, lakes, and oceans where they injure and kill birds and marine animals, like sea turtles.

We need to pass a statewide ban on polystyrene to protect our environment. We are working to give our elected senators and assemblymembers the support and backing from the public that they need to stand up to powerful special interests.

We are hiring staff this summer to build public support to defend the places that we love, the air we breathe, and the water we drink! As paid campaign staff, you  will build grassroots power, learn the building blocks of political organizing, and work closely with our senior staff management team.
