What is NiteLine?
NiteLine is a listening and information service run by students for students. We are now recruiting for phone volunteers and publicity volunteers from our affiliated colleges (MU, NCAD, NCI, RCSI, TCD and UCD).

Who are our volunteers?
Phone volunteers receive extensive training on taking calls from students over the phone or via our instant messaging service. This training is accredited by The Samaritans and The NightLine Association. Our volunteers are anonymous, confidential, non-judgemental and non-directive. Volunteers are chosen for their ability to listen and accept rather than for any professional qualifications that they might have.

How are volunteers trained?
All phone volunteers will be trained in Dublin City Centre over weekend or weekly training sessions (either three consecutive weekends or 8 weeks, one evening a week, more information on the form).

We are also looking for students with skills such as legal, IT, business, fundraising, marketing etc. from your respective degrees or experience so please let us know if you have anything you would like to bring to our service!
