A. Signs and banners. A sign or banner providing the name of the organisation or group must precede each entry participating in the parade or have their name prominently displayed on their vehicle.
B. Edge protection. All floats entering the Parade must have adequate edge protection (i.e. a secure handrail) fitted around any exposed perimeter of the float.
C. Contingent steward. All contingents are required to provide one steward per 25 participants of their group. Their primary role is to facilitate the movement and safety of your contingent in the Parade while the Parade is in progress. Stewards will report directly to Limerick Pride Parade Committee. Contingents who have vehicles are required to provide four to six stewards for safety purposes. Likewise failure to provide adequate stewards will result in non-participation in the Parade.
D. Removal from the Parade. Limerick Pride reserves the right to remove any individual, group or contingent who is, in its sole opinion and discretion, a hindrance to the safety and progress of the Parade or who places participants or spectators in physical danger, for motor safety violations, unsafe or illegal conduct such as drugs, alcohol or participation inconsistent with the aims, goals and purposes of Limerick Pride Parade. This includes the right to remove persons from any float or vehicular unit which it determines to be overcrowded to such an extent that the unit may break down or cause injury to participants.
E. Line up and staging. A number of factors determine your placement in the Parade. Priority placement is based on time and date your complete application is received. We attempt to accommodate as many contingent requests as possible.
F. Forward movement. All contingents are required to maintain a forward movement during the Parade. No stopping unless directed by the Limerick Pride Stewards or An Garda Siochana. All performances or manoeuvres must be on the move. Please maintain a gap between each group.
G. Political Statements. Any political statements or endorsements made by participants in the Limerick Pride Parade are not necessarily the opinions expressed by Limerick Pride nor does Limerick Pride in any way contribute to the signage or display of these opinions.
H. Strictly no fool language will be tolerated, if used, persons/ group will be removed from the parade.
