Limerick Pride 2025 Parade Registration 
Saturday, July 12th. 
Event timing:
Gathering for floats, and vehicles  - 12.20-12.40 PM, please note, NO public, or group gatherings before 1pm for the best interests of safely as vehicles will be moving.
Groups from 1pm.
Gathering Point: Merchants Quay (City Hall/ Potato Market), with the parade leaving strictly at 2PM making it's way up O'Connell street, and then turning down Glenworth Street making it's way down Henry St, returning to the back to the Hunt museum grounds for speeches and free family-friendly entertainment 3-6 PM.

The Parade takes place on Saturday the 12th of July 2025 gathering at Merchants Quay (City Hall).


Please include the following with your application:

Confirmation of entry

Receipt of registration does not necessarily confirm an entry. Limerick Pride reserves the right to refuse the entry of any individual or entity that, in Limerick Pride’s opinion does not reflect the celebration intended by the Parade.

Placement in the Parade

Priority placement is based on date and time completed applications are received with special consideration for community groups, older people, children and those with special needs. Placement in the Parade is at the sole discretion of Limerick Pride; we will however try to accommodate requests for placement where possible.

Parade line up assignments will be distributed on the morning of the Parade during the steward safety meeting. It is essential that your stewards attend this meeting. It will be held at the steps of city hall the morning of the parade July 12th at 1.10 PM.

Limerick Pride Terms and Conditions

A. Signs and banners. A sign or banner providing the name of the organisation or group must precede each entry participating in the parade or have their name prominently displayed on their vehicle.

B. Edge protection. All floats entering the Parade must have adequate edge protection (i.e. a secure handrail) fitted around any exposed perimeter of the float.

C. Contingent steward. All contingents are required to provide one steward per 25 participants of their group. Their primary role is to facilitate the movement and safety of your contingent in the Parade while the Parade is in progress. Stewards will report directly to Limerick Pride Parade Committee. Contingents who have vehicles are required to provide four to six stewards for safety purposes. Likewise failure to provide adequate stewards will result in non-participation in the Parade.

D. Removal from the Parade. Limerick Pride reserves the right to remove any individual, group or contingent who is, in its sole opinion and discretion, a hindrance to the safety and progress of the Parade or who places participants or spectators in physical danger, for motor safety violations, unsafe or illegal conduct such as drugs, alcohol or participation inconsistent with the aims, goals and purposes of Limerick Pride Parade. This includes the right to remove persons from any float or vehicular unit which it determines to be overcrowded to such an extent that the unit may break down or cause injury to participants.

E. Line up and staging. A number of factors determine your placement in the Parade. Priority placement is based on time and date your complete application is received. We attempt to accommodate as many contingent requests as possible.

F. Forward movement. All contingents are required to maintain a forward movement during the Parade. No stopping unless directed by the Limerick Pride Stewards or An Garda Siochana. All performances or manoeuvres must be on the move. Please maintain a gap between each group.

G. Political Statements. Any political statements or endorsements made by participants in the Limerick Pride Parade are not necessarily the opinions expressed by Limerick Pride nor does Limerick Pride in any way contribute to the signage or display of these opinions.

H. Strictly no fool language will be tolerated, if used, persons/ group will be removed from the parade.

Participation Agreement
Please note it is illegal to possess or consume alcohol or drugs while participating in the Limerick Pride Parade. Any illegal behaviours and/or violations of the law will not be tolerated. You will be responsible for any fines, fees, arrests, injury or imprisonment that may occur if you break these or any other laws.

Violations will be immediate cause for dismissal from this year's’ Parade and possibly future Parades.

All contingents are required to abide by the rules of Limerick Pride Parade. Each contingent is responsible for any and all acts and/or omissions on their part, or on the parts of their agents, members, volunteers and/or employees which may result in any injury, illness, death or damage to them or a third party. Each participant in each contingent shall indemnify and hold Limerick Pride and the City of Limerick free and harmless and hereby forever release and discharge Limerick Pride and its Committee members and the City of Limerick and their affiliates, officers, directors, employee, agents, from and against all claims, demands, liabilities, damages and expenses including solicitors fees and costs arising out of such act or omission of such contingent or contingent participant. This clause is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State. If any portion thereof held invalid, each contingent accepts that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

Liability, insurance and full driver’s license.

Each vehicle that enters the Parade lineup area and/or participates in the Parade must have insurance and the driver must have a valid driver’s license. These must be presented on parade day upon request from proper authorities.

Failure to comply will disqualify the individual and/or contingent from participating in the Parade.

Safety, fire and motor vehicle rules.

It is the responsibility of each Parade contingent to know and adhere to Garda codes and regulations regarding safety. All contingents and floats will be inspected prior to participating in the Limerick Pride Parade. Violators are subject to removal from the Parade.

Sales/vending/marketing. No sales may occur along the Parade route without express written permission of Limerick Pride.

Stewards Information
You are required to assign one person for every 25 people in your contingent, to be responsible for your contingent in the Parade. If you are providing a float or vehicle you will be required to provide a minimum of four stewards and up to six depending on the size of the vehicle/float.

The primary role of the Contingent stewards is to walk the Parade route and act as safety monitor for your contingent. This person(s) is responsible for knowing all Parade rules as they pertain to your contingent participation in the Parade.
