Competition Overview

Cornell Impact Investing Pitch Competition is a unique opportunity for undergraduates nationwide to pitch investment proposals, win cash prizes, and build mentorships in the growing field of impact investing.

Participants will form teams of 2 to 4 to identify, research, and recommend an early-stage company addressing a social or environmental challenge for a hypothetical $1M investment. No prior business experience is necessary, and we can help match individuals to teams if needed.

The competition features two rounds: a virtual submission due on Friday, March 6th, 2026 followed by an invite-only final round at Cornell University in-person during the Cornell Business Impact Symposium on Saturday, April 11th, 2026. Finalists will receive exclusive mentorship from impact investment professionals, be featured in the symposium, and connect with industry leaders. Limited travel assistance can be provided to finalists, and we will work with you to make accommodations.

Students have to register their team to participate. If you already have a team, please fill out the Team Registration form due on February 27th at 11:59 pm EST.
