Effective Altruism DeCal Application
Effective altruism is about answering one question: how can we use our resources to do the most good for others? Learn more here: www.effectivealtruism.org/articles/introduction-to-effective-altruism.

Economic Tools for Effective Altruism is a 15-week program for anyone hoping to explore answers to that question! Students will:

- Examine the "effectiveness mindset;" how can altruists leverage evidence, and reason clearly?
- Survey the "problem landscape;" which issues should we care about?
- Evaluate solutions; how can we improve the greatest number of lives?
- Participate in 1-1 mentorship & career advising
- Hear from professors and experts in the relevant fields!
- Join a community of empathetic, open-minded, intellectually curious students!

Applications are due on Sunday, September 7 at 11:59 PM! Applicants will hear back by Tuesday, September 9. Meetings will be hosted weekly thereafter on Wednesdays at 4:00 PM.

We hope to accept as many people as we can. Class will begin soon after the deadline, so please keep an eye on your email.
