Free Counselling: Connect International
Umeed Psychology, Stint Community and Internash are partnering to establish Connect International - a holistic mental health and wellbeing program for international students. The program endeavours to support the mental health and wellbeing of international students from a prevention, intervention and postvention approach.

We know access to affordable & culturally responsive mental health care can be tricky for international students. Which is why our first initiative for this program is FREE counselling sessions for International Students!

Clients will receive 10 free sessions and then sessions at a discounted rate if further sessions are required. We will be screening referrals to ensure that we have the appropriate supports available for your concerns, we will refer you on to other services if we feel that we cannot support you at this time.

Counselling Sessions are provided by Umeed's psychology, social work and counselling internship students supervised by experienced professionals. They offer confidential, compassionate counselling for mental health, relationships, stress management, and life transitions using evidence-based practices and ethical guidelines in a supportive environment.

As part of the program we have also started a online Mental Health forum through the STINT Community Slack we hope to destigmatize mental health, raise awareness around mental health and encourage help seeking behaviour through psychoeducation. International Students can ask mental health related questions, access psychoeducational resources and find local and global opportunities that offer support in enhancing overall mental health and wellbeing.
