Each fiscal year ACRC submits its “Community Resource Development
Plan (CRDP)” to DDS requesting special funding for the development or expansion
of community-based services/programs (a.k.a. safety net, crisis, and support
services) in order to address the unmet or under-met needs of regional center
clients with challenging service needs, as well as the needs of our aging
population. These services/programs are meant to reduce reliance on the
placement to Porterville Developmental Center (PDC), Institutes of Mental Disease
(IMD), other restrictive settings (Skill Nursing Facilities (SNF), hospitals,
etc.), and out-of-state placement.
