Does Rural America Have a Future? Pathways to Renewal

Join us on Wednesday, November 19, from 5:30-7:30 pm (Reception at 5:30, program at 6:00). Presenters:

Dr. Matt Bonzo, Adjunct professor of philosophy and owner of Small Wonders Farm, Sand Lake, Michigan

Dr. Charles E. Cotherman, Pastor at Oil City Vineyard and Executive Director, Center for Rural Ministry at Grove City College

Over the last century, there has been a significant re-centering of the U.S. population as cities and suburbs continue to grow and small towns die, and family farms are consolidated into agribusinesses. How do we make sense of the changes that are taking place in rural America economically, culturally, politically, and spiritually?  Is a future flourishing of rural life and culture in America possible, and if so, what role might Christianity play in bringing that about?
