Anime USA 2018 Flea Market

Thank you for your interest in our inaugural Flea Market event, which will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in Panel Room 2 from 12:00PM - 2:00 PM.

Please read the following information prior to filling out this form.

Anime USA’s Flea Market applications will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. Only attendees with a valid Anime USA membership may be granted space, and there will be no option to select a specific table or location. A selected applicant is entitled to ½ of a 6-foot convention table (usable space: 3’W x 2’D). If only a small number of people apply for this event, the amount of table space may be expanded, and this information will be communicated to Flea Market Sellers prior to the event.

Flea Market doors will be open to the public during the following schedule:
Sunday: 12:00 PM – 2 PM (open to Sellers at 11:00 AM and loaded out complete by 3:00 PM). This time is subject to change, and will be communicated to Sellers if an adjustment is made.

Flea Market Sellers may begin setup of their tables starting at 11 AM on Sunday, October 11, 2018 and will follow the public schedule until cleanup beginning at 2 PM. Sellers must remove all their material from the Flea Market room by 3 PM Sunday. Anything left behind will be thrown out or become the property of Anime USA. Anime USA reserves the right to change the hours of operation.

Anime USA will not provide a location where items can be stored before or after the Flea Market. Storage and movement of items is the sole responsibility of the seller.

CHECK-IN

Flea Market Sellers must check in with the Check-in staff at Programming Ops (Park Tower 8206) prior to occupying their tables in the Flea Market to receive their location and sign a waiver. Check in times are as follows:

Saturday, October 20, 5PM – 10PM
Sunday, October 21, 9AM – 10:30 AM

All tables will be assigned and labeled. Sellers who fail to check in by 10:30AM Sunday will forfeit their tables, unless they have made prior arrangements for a later check-in with the Programming Department. Anime USA will check IDs of persons to ensure they are 18 years or older before allowing them to set up their table.

APPROPRIATE SALES & CONDUCT:

Sellers may only sell items present at the table. No online orders or sales of items that are off-site will be permitted. Items fit for sale are: Official Media (Manga, magazines, LaserDisc, CD, VHS, DVD, etc) and Official Merchandise (Figures, keychains, wallscrolls, posters, plushes etc.)
- No personal art or creations are permitted.
- No merchandise of an adult nature is permitted.
- Bootleg merchandise is strictly prohibited. Any Seller attempting to sell bootleg merchandise will be subject to repercussions up to and including removal from the Flea Market, expulsion from Anime USA and blacklisting for Anime USA 2019.

The practice of hawking, loudly and aggressively calling attention to your table and disrupting those around you, is strictly prohibited.

Sellers are limited to their assigned space at and behind their tables. The setup of additional small displays within your specific space is permitted within reason. Stackable totes of additional merchandise are permitted, so long as they do not interfere with the space of other Sellers.

TAXES AND LICENSES:

Sellers will be solely responsible for obtaining any tax identification numbers and paying all taxes, license fees, and any charges that will come due to any governmental authority in connection with their activity at Anime USA.

Anime USA reserves the right to cancel this event for any reason; such as, but not limited to, not enough applications.

IMPORTANT:

All sellers will be required to sign a contract upon checking in, stating that the seller is aware of all tax, liability and license responsibilities. Approved sellers will be notified of their acceptance on or around October 10, 2018.
