Thank you for your interest in acting as a judge for the Australasian Association of Philosophy Annette Baier Prize (ABP). aap.org.au/Annette-Baier-Prize
By nominating yourself, you are not committing to act as a judge of the ABP in a specific year. Rather, you are indicating your willingness to be contacted with an invitation to act as a judge for the ABP.
Do remember that you are free to decline our request to judge in any given year.
Judging occurs in two tiers.
In tier 1, pairs of judges are assigned approximately 6 submissions; the top two papers among each set of judges are shortlisted, then fed to a final judging panel (tier 2).
Specific details about how to judge ABP submissions can be found in this policy document aap.org.au/ANNETTE-BAIER-PRIZE-POLICY
We aim to rotate the members of the judging panels regularly and in accordance with areas of specialty and competence. We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion on judging panels, with specific concern to create mixed-gender panels where possible.
We welcome self-nominations from post-PhD persons working in philosophy, broadly conceived, and who are currently affiliated with an Australasian university.
You are able to remove yourself from this register at any time by emailing a request to women@aap.org.au.
Please fill in the below form, and we may be in touch soon.
