HV United Winter Training Survey
Under obviously unique circumstances, HV United is working on plans to provide winter training for all its players and teams. Your input in the process matters as every family's comfort level with indoor groups is very different at the moment. Please respond to the following questions. Your responses are anonymous and will be integral in formulating our plans.
What is your player(s) birth year?
At a basic level, are you comfortable with your player(s) training indoors, likely at the Wasatch County Rec Center?
YES, under modified conditions
Which of the following options would make you feel more comfortable with having your player(s) train indoors?
Training sessions that are fully social-distanced (non-contact, no congregation)
Wearing masks the entire time (including during training)
Wearing masks to and from the field, but not during trainings
Spacing out training sessions so teams do not overlap
Allowing only one team on a field at a time (max 20 players)
Utilizing non-peak hours for trainings (including afternoons/evenings on Friday and Saturday)
Windows at the Rec Center are kept open for improved ventilation
No parents/spectators allowed inside (younger ages would be allowed one parent)
Teams only allowed in who have reserved fields (no roaming groups looking for space)
I will not allow my player to train indoors under any circumstances
Would you be open to holding outdoor trainings on a plowed turf field through the winter?
Yes, we could bundle up and make it work
No way, I have frostbite just thinking about it
As long as it was over a certain temperature (20 degrees and above)
Would you prefer virtual options rather than train indoors?
Yes, Zoom soccer for the winter is the safest option
No, the players need to play actual soccer together
