This 10-month project will connect Black youth that are involved with the justice system or at-risk of being involved in the justice system to culturally responsive resources and a peer support space. Through facilitated discussions, storytelling and skills development workshops, youth learn and acquire skills on personal and professional development.
This project will prioritize applications from youth from Toronto East neighbourhoods, including Regent Park (with a priority in the Regent Park, St. James Town, Yonge & Gerrard and the Esplanade areas)
Youth participants will receive $50 per session, for a total of four sessions per month.
