What You’ll Do
• Define, develop and execute overall customer acquisition marketing strategy and all growth KPIs to drive aggressive top line results • Build and execute strategies for customer acquisition and retention while hitting CAC targets• Establish a deep analytical understanding of all digital marketing campaigns to identify business drivers, areas of opportunity, and how to maximize SEO / SEM• Drive consumer demand for the Openbay marketplace and service provider demand for Openbay SaaS solutions • Build and mentor a best-in-class marketing team to drive toward meeting company revenue goals • Manage the strategy for building internal capabilities and leveraging outside agencies and resources• Own, negotiate and optimize all marketing vendor relationships; manage the acquisition marketing budget including all advertising and promotional spend• Track, measure and report on business on KPIs, including engagement rates, conversion rates, cost-per-acquisition and customer lifetime value for all marketing programs and activities• Experiment and open new channels to increase effectiveness of marketing programs and ROI• Serve as the primary marketing liaison to the product and engineering teams to champion product and technology-led opportunities.
Who We’re Looking For
You are an experienced, hands-on marketing professional, with a track record of successfully implementing acquisition marketing strategies and tactics to dramatically drive customer demand and transformative business growth. The role and business require a smart, strategic leader with excellent communication skills and a comprehensive knowledge of the customer acquisition and retention marketing ecosystem and marketplace and SaaS business models. The high-growth environment requires a team player who rolls up their sleeves, responds quickly and decisively, is flexible and open to change, and is comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments inherent in a high-growth technology company.
Our ideal candidate has:• 7+ years broad consumer acquisition marketing experience, including 5 years directly creating, planning, executing and managing online customer acquisition and retention initiatives and efforts.• Strong classic marketing skills including market definition, customer segmentation, messaging, branding and demand forecasting.• Deep understanding of online customer acquisition best practices and technologies.• Demonstrated ability to create and drive innovative approaches to online marketing campaigns that dramatically increase and retain customer base.• Substantial experience in driving customer retention/renewals, monetization and a tangible track record of growing revenues and improving company profitability.• Direct experience in all critical aspects of online acquisition marketing: sourcing and developing online acquisition and distribution partnerships, SEO/SEM, display advertising and email marketing.• Demonstrated ability to navigate in a data-driven environment using strong analytical skills and business acumen; a technical mindset, with an appreciation for creativity and brand.• Proven execution against P&L performance targets in addition to tracking and delivering on key operational metrics.• Self-starter who can power through ambiguity and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.• Experience accelerating growth in a fast cycle business/start-up environment where products and the user experience/customer expectations can change rapidly.• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.• Energetic and collaborative team member able to manage staff, mentor others and work with the team to achieve company objectives.• A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field required.
