HOST A MEET& GREET:
Host gathering of friends or neighbors with Julie as a guest to help her meet voters. The focus of these meet & greets will be to understand the issues and interests of voters. Julie can join your book club or organization meeting to speak. After school (3:00 PM or later), evening or weekend times are available. If you're unable to host, consider attending a meet & greet and bring a friend.
WRITING POSTCARDS:
Writing and addressing postcards to voters. A script will be provided, as well as addresses. If you could donate your time and postage, that would be helpful. If not, addressing the postcards and returning them to the campaign for mailing would be a huge help.
LIT DROPS:
Participating in literature drops to homes in Lombard. Throughout February and early March campaigns will coordinate a distribution of informational literature to residents. Working in pairs is suggested. Maps, addresses, literature, and snacks will be provided. If you feel comfortable, you can also knock on doors to talk to residents and explain why you are supporting Julie for Helen Plum Library. Help out and get in your exercise steps!
PHONE BANKING:
Phone (and possible text) banking to voters. (This means calling/texting local residents). This can be done on your own schedule and from the comfort at your home. Recommended times are 9am - 8pm. A list of constituents will be provided. We can help you set up a google voice account so you are not using your personal number. Sit on the couch and get chatting.
